ARCHIVE

Within the archive you will find hundreds of photographs that depict life
at the Children’s Home during the 47-years that it was in operation. Also included are video clips, audio clips, articles and essays that pertain to the home and its history.

The bulk of the material within this archive was generously loaned by Jim and Joel Henkelman whose parents,
Clarence and Pauline Henkelman, ran the home from 1948 until it closed in 1973.

We are in the process of captioning all of the photographs so that each person pictured is identified as an
individual with a face, a name and a story. If you recognize yourself or someone you know in one
of the photographs and you or they would like to be identified, please contact us.
